La Fuliola is a small municipality in the Urgell comarca of Catalonia, and like hundreds of similarly sized towns, its ajuntament issued emergency paper money during the Civil War after the Republic's central coinage supply collapsed in 1936–37. These hyper-local issues — sometimes printed in runs of only a few hundred — were produced under chaotic wartime conditions with whatever printing resources were locally available, and Turró documents the series precisely because so many have been lost entirely.
Survival rates for municipal notes from villages of this size are low. The Turró reference number places this firmly within the documented Catalan wartime municipal series, but individual print runs for La Fuliola remain unquantified.
