La Calahorra is a small municipality in Granada province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns, it issued its own fractional emergency paper during the Civil War after the Republican government's 1936 decree authorizing local councils to produce small-denomination surtidos to address the acute shortage of coin. The Consejo Municipal series from villages of this size were typically produced in very limited quantities — often a single short print run — and many circulated only within the town itself before being superseded or simply abandoned as the war situation shifted.
The Gari Mon reference is unassigned, which suggests this note was either unknown to the compiler at time of publication or submitted after the main catalog closed. Either way, it sits outside the documented mainstream of Spanish Civil War emergency issues.
