| Obverse description | Allegorical seated female figure representing the Spanish Republic, shown in three-quarter view facing left, draped in classical robes and seated upon a stone plinth. Her raised right hand holds an olive branch, symbolic of peace, while her left arm rests at her side. The curved legend REPUBLICA ESPAÑOLA arcs along the upper periphery, and the date 1937 appears in the lower exergue flanked by small stars on certain variants. The inner border consists of a continuous circle of dots, the form of which — round or square, touching or non-touching — distinguishes the principal die varieties KM#754.1 and KM#754.2. |
