Centro Obrero Forcallense was a workers' cooperative in Forcall, a small municipality in the Maestrat region of Castellón, that issued emergency fractional currency during the Spanish Civil War when Republican-zone coinage effectively vanished from circulation. The acute coin shortage of 1936–37 prompted hundreds of Catalan, Valencian, and Aragonese municipalities, cooperatives, and trade union bodies to print their own local scrip — this note is one of those issues.
Forcall's population at the time was under a thousand. That a cooperative of that size produced catalogued fractional paper at all makes this a genuinely uncommon local issue.
