Estiche de Cinca is a village in Huesca province, Aragon — small enough that its wartime emergency scrip represents one of the more obscure local issues from the Spanish Civil War's chaotic monetization of Republican-held territory. After July 1936, the collapse of normal coin supply across the Republican zone prompted hundreds of municipalities, trade unions, and antifascist committees to print their own fractional paper. Most were never formally authorized by any central body.
The Gari Mon reference sequence for this piece suggests very limited survival. At this size and weight, losses to handling alone were substantial.
