Dehesas de Guadix was a small agricultural municipality in Granada province, and like hundreds of Spanish towns it issued its own emergency fractional paper during the Civil War after metallic coinage vanished from circulation almost overnight in 1936. These hyper-local municipal issues were produced under no standardized framework — town councils improvised with whatever printing resources were available locally, which is why the production quality varies so dramatically between issues and why many carry no printer credit at all.

The Gari Montserrat reference number is unassigned, which typically indicates the piece was recorded too late or incompletely for full cataloguing. Surviving examples from villages this size are genuinely uncommon.
