Reverse description The crowned coat of arms of Spain occupies the centre of the field, quartered with the castles of Castile and the lions of León, with the pomegranate of Granada in base and the dynastic escutcheon of the Bourbons en surtout. The arms are flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, each wound with a ribbon bearing the motto 'PLUS ULTRA'. The circular legend around the periphery reads 'REY CONST. DE ESPAÑA', with the mint mark 'P.C.' to the lower left and the denomination '50 CENT.' at the base, all within a beaded border.
