| Reverse description | Central design features a large octagram (eight-pointed star) formed by two overlapping squares, enclosing a recessed lozenge-shaped panel bearing the bold numeral 50 flanked by the split legend CEN- / TIMES in Latin. Above the numeral, within the lozenge, appears the Arabic denomination قطعة نصف (half piece) in two lines, while below appears the Arabic خمسون سنتيما. The word ESSAI is inscribed in small capitals beneath the central panel along the lower edge of the lozenge. The surrounding field is filled with elaborate interlaced arabesque and floral scrollwork extending to the dodecagonal rim. |
