| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in black on plain paper within a decorative rectangular border with ornamental corner pieces. In the upper-left corner, a circular vignette bears a left-facing allegorical female head in the style of the Cérès type, encircled by the legend RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE. The denomination CINQUANTE CENTIMES is set in bold letterpress within a cartouche at centre, beneath the issuing authority's name and a reference to the General Assembly decision of 14 August 1916. Below the denomination cartouche, three manuscript signatures appear above the titles of the President (Mayor of Senones), Vice-President (Mayor of La Petite-Raon), and Secretary (former Mayor of Senones). The series number and serial number are printed at the foot within a ruled panel. |
