| Obverse description | Orange underprint bearing a repeated guilloche text pattern fills the central panel, set within a decorative dark purple floral and scroll border. The denomination "50 Centimes" is printed in large bold type at centre, flanked on each side by a small municipal coat of arms within a wreath, above the redemption clause referring to the Banque de France. The issuer's title appears at the top, with the deliberation date "10 Août 1915" below, and two manuscript signatures of the Presidents of the Chambers of Commerce of Alençon and Flers appear at lower left and lower right respectively. |
