| Obverse description | Green on pale guilloche underprint. The centre bears the large denomination numeral '50' with the legend 'CENTIMES' below, flanked by the roles 'Le Trésorier' and 'Le Président' with manuscript signatures between them. The city arms of Le Mans appear in a cartouche at upper left, with a caduceus-bearing shield vignette at upper right and a circular engine-turned medallion at lower right, all connected by ornate rococo scrollwork borders. The issuer's title 'CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DU MANS' arches across the upper portion, with the issue date '8 JUILLET 1915' in a recessed panel at the foot. |

The entire reverse is occupied by a large oval wreath vignette composed of acanthus leaves, grapes and floral sprays, enclosing a six-line guarantee text in italic script. A small oval cartouche at the top of the wreath bears the validity dates '1915 - 1920'. The denomination '0,50' appears in bold figures at each upper corner outside the wreath, and the series designation '1ère Série' is printed vertically at both lower corners. The printer's imprint appears at the base of the design. |
