| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in blue and red on a pink-toned paper with a repeating letterpress underprint of the text CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE ROANNE across the entire field. A central oval vignette contains the large red numeral '50' overprinted across the denomination text CINQUANTE CENTIMES in black, below which appear two facsimile signature lines for Le Président and Le Trésorier. The date 1917 appears in a decorative oval cartouche at the top centre, flanked by caduceus ornaments and foliate scrollwork, with the issuer's name and reimbursement notice inscribed above and below the central oval, and the town name ROANNE in a rectangular frame at the base. |
