| Obverse description | Printed in red on cream paper, the obverse is framed by an architectural border with crenellated top edge. To the left stands a full-length figure of Marshal Joffre in military uniform (dated 1914), and to the right stands Charles Martel in medieval armour (dated 732), each set within a column niche. The central vignette contains a female bust on a pedestal flanked by two cherub figures holding floral sprays, with the denomination CINQUANTE CENTIMES inscribed above in bold letterpress and the arms of Poitiers below, overlaid with two manuscript facsimile signatures for the Treasurer and President, and a guilloche underprint repeating the chamber's name. |

| Reverse description | Printed in red on cream paper, the reverse mirrors the architectural crenellated border of the obverse, with flanking pilasters bearing oak-leaf sprigs and circular denomination roundels reading '50' at left and right. A large central cartouche in script lettering sets out the redemption conditions, below which the coat of arms of Poitiers flanked by laurel branches appears at centre, with the emission date JUILLET 1917 and the RF monogram repeated in the lower corners. |
