| Obverse description | The obverse carries the arms of Narbonne at centre, flanked by two large intertwined monogram letters 'RF', with guilloche-bordered circular value cartouches reading '0,50' at each corner. A rectangular guilloche frame encloses the entire design, and a rectangular text panel at the lower centre contains the redemption clause, with the printer's imprint 'IMP. BOUSQUET – NARBONNE' at the foot. The note required authentication by the dry-stamp of the Chamber of Commerce to be valid, and was issued in series Q, R, S and T with five-digit serial numbers and two manuscript signatures (Treasurer and President). |
