| Obverse description | Printed in blue on a cream paper ground, the obverse carries two allegorical figures in the neoclassical style flanking the central text field: at left, a seated male figure representing industry or commerce with a wheel attribute, and at right, a draped female figure with an urn. The denomination CINQUANTE CENTIMES is set in bold letterpress at centre, below the issuer's title CHAMBRE DE COMMERCE DE LYON and the authorising deliberation date, with the series designation and serial number beneath. Corner cartouches bearing the numeral 50 anchor each lower angle, and two manuscript signatures appear above the redemption clause, attributed respectively to the Treasurer and the President; the designer and engraver credits J. TESTON INV. and DAUVERGNE SC. are printed at the lower margins. |
