| Reverse description | The reverse is printed in black on cream paper with a pale guilloche underprint showing the numeral 0.50 repeated. A large central oval vignette contains a detailed engraved view of Mont-Saint-Michel rising from its tidal flats. The oval is set within an elaborate acanthus scroll frame, with the denomination 0.50 in bold block numerals to either side. A two-line redemption notice in letterpress appears at the foot of the note. |
