| Obverse description | Printed in blue on a fine guilloche underprint, the note is framed by an ornate scrollwork border. At the top centre, a circular vignette bears the arms of Châteauroux within a wreath, flanked by the issue date at left and the series letter and serial number at right. The large-denomination legend BON DE 50 CENTIMES occupies the centre, with the issuing authority's name above; two manuscript signature lines for the Treasurer and President appear below, accompanied by a central cartouche certifying administrative approval. |
