Obverse description The obverse is printed in a single colour on plain paper and carries the issuing authority's title across the upper portion, flanked by the denomination numeral "50" in each corner. The central text panel states the redemption terms, specifying that the note is reimbursable by the Chamber of Commerce with the thirty-year prescription period commencing 1 January 1925, pursuant to the deliberation of 4 June 1920. Two signature lines for the Chairman and Treasurer appear at the foot, with a six-digit serial number and the printer's imprint below.

Reverse description The reverse is printed in brown-purple on plain paper and displays a symmetrical engraved composition centred on the denomination "0,50 Cent.es" in large letterpress text. Two heraldic shields surmounted by crowns flank the central cartouche, accompanied by decorative scrollwork and allegorical vignettes above, including a maritime or mercantile scene. The denomination numeral "50" is repeated in each of the four corners within circular frames, enclosing the composition within a ruled border.
