| Obverse description | Green on light ground note with a decorative guilloche border enclosing the central text area. The denomination CINQUANTE CENTIMES is rendered in bold letterpress at the top centre, with the Arabic equivalent خمسون صانتيما above the series and serial number fields. The decree date 'Decret du 17 Mars 1919 / 14 Djoumad-Etthani 1337' is printed centrally, and the lower portion carries bilingual text in French and Arabic stating that the note is exchangeable against Banque de l'Algérie banknotes, with a penalty clause for counterfeiters; printer's imprint 'LITHO & GRAVURE F. WEBER' appears at the lower left. |
