Reverse description An eagle rendered in incuse relief, its body turned to the right while the head is depicted facing left, conveying a dynamic, twisting posture. A serpent appears to the left of the bird, coiling in the field. The entire design is executed in the distinctive incuse technique employed by the Populonian mint, with the motif sunk into the flan rather than raised in relief.
