| Obverse description | Left-facing draped bust with a short, pronouncedly curved truncation, flanked below by two five-pointed stars. The date 1915 appears immediately below the bust between the stars. The peripheral legend curves around the upper and lower fields. The design is characteristic of the provisional coinage struck by the sovereign State of Oaxaca during the Mexican Revolution. |

| Reverse description | The large numeral '50' dominates the central field, with the word 'CENTAVOS' inscribed in a straight line immediately below. A symmetrical pair of leafy oak sprigs rises from the base of the coin and curves outward to either side beneath the denomination, meeting at the bottom of the field. The arc legend 'MONEDA PROVISIONAL' curves along the upper periphery. The coin's edge features a distinctive scalloped or crenellated collar impression visible along the rim. |
