Obverse description Draped bust of Benito Juárez facing left, occupying the majority of the field, with naturalistic hair detail rendered in low relief. The circumferential legend ESTADO L. Y S. DE OAXACA runs along the upper periphery. The date 1915 appears in the lower exergual area, flanked on either side by a small five-pointed star serving as decorative punctuation. The portrait is characteristic of the roughly struck provisional coinage issued during the Mexican Revolution.

Reverse description Large numeral '50' dominates the central field, with the denomination legend CENTAVOS inscribed in a shallow arc immediately below the numerals. A wreath of oak branches rises from the base of the coin, framing the lower half of the field on both sides. The circular legend MONEDA PROVISIONAL runs along the upper periphery. The overall design is plain and functional, consistent with emergency provisional coinage of the revolutionary period.
