Obverse description Black letterpress print on a light blue-gray underprint, with the large bold legend 'REPUBLICA MEXICANA' across the upper field and a central vignette of the Mexican eagle perched on a cactus. The denomination '50¢' appears in ornate lathework cartouches at upper right and lower left, with the series letter and red serial number printed in the upper portion. Three manuscript signatures appear at the foot of the note, attributed to the Jefe de Hacienda, the General en Jefe, and the Gobernador del Estado.
