| Obverse description | The Portuguese colonial arms of Mozambique occupy the central field, depicting the national shield superimposed upon an armillary sphere, the whole surmounted by a mural crown. The colonial territory name MOÇAMBIQUE arcs along the upper periphery in bold capital letters, while the mint date appears in large numerals along the lower field. Small decorative floral ornaments flank the date at left and right, and the entire design is bordered by a beaded inner ring. |
