Reverse description	The central field displays the large denomination numeral 50 in bold, incuse-outlined figures, with the word CENTAVOS inscribed immediately below in capital letters. The circular legend REPUBLICA PORTUGUESA runs along the upper periphery, terminating at the base with a small ornamental stop. The plain, unadorned field and bold typographic treatment are characteristic of Portuguese colonial subsidiary coinage of the Estado Novo period.
