| Obverse description | Plain light-coloured paper note with a geometric meander border running along all four edges, with the denomination numeral 50 at each corner and CENTAVOS lettered vertically in the side margins. The central text field carries the heading TREASURY EMERGENCY CURRENCY CERTIFICATE BY AUTHORITY OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE COMMONWEALTH OF THE PHILIPPINES, followed by a redemption clause and the series designation SERIES OF 1943. A circular official seal is impressed at lower left, with the large-print denomination FIFTY CENTAVOS at centre and the serial number in the right field.
