| Obverse description | The Mexican national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a Mexican golden eagle perched on a prickly pear cactus growing from a rocky outcrop, devouring a serpent in its beak and talons. The design is rendered in high relief with fine detail to the eagle's plumage and the serpent's coils. A semicircular wreath of oak and laurel branches frames the lower portion of the device. The curved legend ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS arcs along the upper periphery in bold Latin capitals, separated from the toothed border by a clear margin. |
