| Obverse description | The Honduran national coat of arms occupies the central field, depicting a triangular pyramid surmounted by a radiant figure within an arched gateway, flanked by two castle towers, set against a landscape with water in the exergue. The arms are encircled by the legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS and framed by an ornate wreath composed of flora and crossed cannon barrels tied with a ribbon at the base, with two national flags crossed above. The fineness inscription 0.900 appears in the left field and the date in the right field, while the denomination 50 CENTs is displayed in the lower exergue. The engraver's signature FRENER appears at the lower center of the design. The coin is struck with a finely milled border. |
