Obverse description The obverse is printed in dark brown on a pink guilloche underprint. A central intaglio vignette presents a seated dog beside a safe or cabinet, rendered in fine engraved detail. The bank title 'EL BANCO DE TRUJILLO' is set in bold lettering across the upper register, flanked by the numeral '50' at each corner with the abbreviation 'CENT.' The lower portion carries manuscript-style text reading 'TRUJILLO... Pagará a la vista al portador CINCUENTA CENTAVOS en moneda corriente', along with a printed serial number.

Reverse description The reverse is printed entirely in red, with an elaborate guilloche framework of interlocking floral rosettes and a Greek key border running along all four edges. New York' appears in small type at both the top and bottom of the central design.
