Reverse description The central device features the Chilean national coat of arms: a quartered shield bearing horizontal lines in the upper half and vertical lines in the lower half, with a prominent five-pointed star at centre, surmounted by a plumed crest of three feathers. The shield is encircled by a wreath composed of a laurel branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, tied at the base. The legend REPUBLICA DE CHILE arcs around the upper periphery, with the mint mark So positioned to the lower right. The denomination 50 CENTS is inscribed in the lower exergue, all within a beaded border.
