Obverse description Facing bust of General José de San Martín, slightly three-quarter left, occupying the central field, rendered in a naturalistic portrait style. The commemorative dates 1850 and 2000 flank the effigy at mid-field, marking the 150th anniversary of the general's death. The circular legend REPUBLICA ARGENTINA runs along the upper periphery, while the inscription GRAL. Dn. JOSE DE SAN MARTIN curves along the lower border.
