Obverse description The obverse features a central field dominated by large Chinese characters arranged vertically, reading the denomination and issuing authority. A dotted inner border circle frames the central inscription. The upper arc of the coin carries the legend 軍政府造 (Made by the Military Government) reading right to left, while the lower arc bears the denomination inscription 當制錢五十文 (Equal to fifty cash). The overall style is characteristic of a crudely rendered imitation of the Hupeh Military Government cash coinage, with irregular strike and uneven field surfaces consistent with its nature as a contemporary counterfeit.
