| Obverse description | Central field features the Chinese character 川 (Szechuan) within a stylized circular floral medallion composed of four curved petals forming a quatrefoil design. The medallion is surrounded by a broad annular band bearing a continuous Chinese legend reading clockwise and counter-clockwise around the central device.
