Obverse description The Venezuelan national coat of arms occupies the central field, featuring a quartered shield with a sheaf of wheat, crossed flags and weapons, a white horse in gallop, and two cornucopias above. Flanking the shield are an olive branch to the left and a palm branch to the right, with two decorative ribbons below inscribed with the dates and names of independence and federation. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE VENEZUELA arcs across the upper field, flanked by two five-pointed stars at the lower left and right. The date 1975 appears prominently in the exergue.
