Obverse description Central device depicts the national emblem of Muscat and Oman: two crossed khanjar daggers overlaid upon a pair of crossed swords, rendered in fine relief against a plain field. A circular Arabic legend surrounds the central device, reading the ruler's name and titles at the top arc and the inscription 'Sultanate of Muscat and Oman' along the lower arc. The design is enclosed within a denticulated border running the full circumference of the coin.
