| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Rwanda occupies the central field, depicting a shield charged with a stylised sun, flanked by a coffee branch and a sorghum stalk, supported by a knot of interlaced rope at the base. A sun with rays appears at the top of the shield, and a scroll below bears the national motto in small lettering.
