| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue intaglio on a light ground, the obverse carries the Afghan national arms within a circular frame at left and a tall monument within an oval vignette at right, both set against an elaborate guilloche underprint with a radiating sunburst in gold-yellow tones. The central field bears Pashtu inscriptions and two manuscript signatures, while the denomination "50 AFGHANIS" appears in both Arabic numerals and Latin script at multiple corners. The serial number is printed in red at the lower centre. |
