P#860 is a replica of a note that almost certainly never circulated in any meaningful quantity — the 50,000 Yuan denomination was issued at the very end of the first renminbi series, by which point hyperinflationary carry-over from the Nationalist period had made enormous face values briefly necessary before the 1955 redenomination swept them away at a conversion rate of 10,000 old yuan to one new fen.
The "replica" designation here matters. Authorized facsimiles of the rarer first-series high denominations were produced for collector distribution; the originals remain among the most difficult first-series notes to authenticate.
