Reverse description Detailed three-quarter view of Sungnyemun Gate (Namdaemun), Korea's National Treasure No. 1, depicted in finely engraved relief showcasing the monumental granite masonry base with its central arched passageway and the multi-tiered traditional wooden pavilion with sweeping tiled roofs above. An inscription in four lines of Hangul script occupies the upper right field, reading 대한민국 국보 제1호 승례문 복구 기념 (commemorating the restoration of National Treasure No. 1 Sungnyemun). Along the lower arc, the legend 2013 · 한국은행 · 오만원 is inscribed in Hangul against the mirror-polished field.
