Traditional Mongolian script legends appear vertically to the left and right of the central device. The large denomination numeral '50000' is prominently displayed in the lower field in a distinctive ornamental typeface, with the Cyrillic inscription 'ТӨГРӨГ' immediately beneath. | Reverse description | The reverse presents a large, finely engraved portrait bust of Ugedei Khan (1186–1242), second Great Khan of the Mongol Empire and son of Genghis Khan, facing slightly left. The effigy depicts him wearing a traditional Mongolian hat, with a distinctive moustache and goatee beard rendered in high relief against a polished proof field. A vertical Traditional Mongolian script inscription appears to the left of the portrait. The Latin legend 'UGEDEI KHAN 1186–1242' is inscribed in the lower field, with the Mexican Mint mark 'Mo' visible in the upper right. The rim is bordered by an ornamental pattern of stylised floral and geometric motifs in Traditional Mongolian decorative style. |
