| Obverse description | At centre, the emblem of the Bank of Mongolia — an ornate arched cartouche surmounted by a star and featuring the soyombo symbol, flanked by traditional Mongolian script (Uighur-Mongolian) ornaments on either side, and encircled at the base by a laurel wreath. Within the cartouche, the legend 'Монгол Банк' appears in cursive Cyrillic script. Below the emblem, the face value '50000' is prominently displayed in large numerals, with 'ТӨГРӨГ' beneath it. The lower legend reads 'MONGOLIA • 1 OZ. 9999 GOLD • 1996 •' along the bottom rim. The entire design is struck against a deeply mirrored proof field with a beaded border. |
