| Obverse description | Brown letterpress note with a wide left vignette illustrating two craftsmen at work in a forge or workshop, rendered in fine intaglio-style line engraving. To the right, the denomination '50,000 Fünfzigtausend Mark' is set in elaborate Gothic blackletter script alongside the municipal coat of arms of Cronenberg bearing a lion passant; a decorative border on the right margin incorporates an assortment of hand tools representing the local metalworking industry. The date 'Cronenberg, 1. August 1923' and a circular Bürgermeisteramt seal appear in the lower right field above the Mayor's manuscript signature, with the serial number printed in the lower left. |
