| Additional information |
Issued to mark the bicentennial of Mozart's death, this piece was part of a broader wave of international commemoratives produced in 1991 — Austria, Germany, and dozens of other mints struck similar issues that year. Turkey's participation was largely commercial, aimed at the collector export market rather than domestic circulation, and the coin saw negligible use as actual currency given the lira's severe inflation trajectory through the early 1990s.
