| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of King Savang Vatthana in military uniform with ornate collar insignia occupying the upper portion of the field. Below the effigy, a decorative emblematic composition features a three-headed elephant bearing a ceremonial howdah and flanked by tiered parasols and stupas, rendered in relief. The Lao script legend arcs along the left and lower-left rim, while the Latin legend ROYAUME DU LAOS curves along the right rim. |
