| Obverse description | Colorized field dominated by a composite design against a deep blue enamel background. At upper left, a detailed rendering of the Pha That Luang temple complex of Vientiane is depicted, while at upper right a mountain landscape with a traditional wooden chapel and conifer trees is shown. In the lower left field, a honeybee rests upon a stylized honeycomb structure in high relief. At lower right, a decorative wooden fence with a balalaika motif is rendered, with the date 2017 inscribed vertically alongside it. The legend BANK OF THE LAO PDR arcs along the upper rim, with the denomination 50000 KIP prominently displayed at the bottom; fineness Ag 925 and weight 31.1 appear at the left, accompanied by the Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) and an additional privy mark. |
