Reverse description Central device reproduces, in high relief, the iconic reverse design of the medieval Hungarian gold florin of King Louis I (Nagy Lajos), depicting a frontal enthroned figure of Saint John the Baptist, crowned and robed, set within a beaded inner circle surrounded by Gothic lettering in the old Hungarian florin style. Small decorative star stops punctuate the inner legend, and the engraver's initials SGT appear discreetly in the lower right field. The outer legend reads I. LAJOS 1342-1382 along the upper arc and ARANYFORINTJA along the lower arc, all in Latin capitals, referencing the king's reign and identifying the coin as a tribute to his gold florin coinage.
