(Translation: Christianity in Armenia State Religion 1700 Fifty Thousand Drams)
Reverse description The central composition portrays Saint Gregory the Illuminator and King Trdat the Great together holding the Armenian Apostolic Church, symbolising the formal adoption of Christianity as Armenia's state religion in 301 AD. The issuing authority inscription in Armenian script occupies the upper portion of the note, with the denomination repeated in Armenian letters at lower centre. A guilloche-patterned underprint in muted tones frames the central imagery throughout.
