The Studentski centar Sveučilišta u Zagrebu — the student center of Zagreb University — issued its own internal currency for use within campus facilities: canteens, dormitories, cultural venues. These notes circulated in a closed economy entirely separate from the Yugoslav dinar system, functioning as meal and service vouchers dressed up as banknotes. The denomination of 50,000 dinara reflects the hyperinflationary environment of early 1990s Yugoslavia, when nominal values had become almost meaningless and even institutional scrip had to chase the collapsing currency.
Collector interest is niche but genuine — Yugoslav university scrip rarely survives in quantity.
