Republika Srpska operated its own central bank and issued its own currency during the Bosnian War, though the notes were printed in Belgrade at the Yugoslav state security printer — an arrangement that reflected the political and military alignment of the entity with the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. The 50,000 Dinara denomination was a direct product of hyperinflation: by late 1993, the Yugoslav dinar system that Republika Srpska's currency was tied to was collapsing at a rate that made large denominations obsolete within weeks of issue.
The watermark is the sole security measure — no serial number threads, no intaglio printing.
