| Obverse description | Light blue-green letterpress note framed by an ornate guilloche border with coat-of-arms vignettes at each corner; at left centre, a large decorative numeral '50' is set within a floral and scrollwork cartouche, with the denomination '50,000000 Millionen Mark' in bold Gothic blackletter across the upper field. The lower half carries the promissory text, the date 'Saulgau, den 20. September 1923', the issuing authority inscription, and two manuscript signature lines for Regierungsrat and Oberamtspfleger.
